Phoenix is one of those guys who instantly lights up a room the second he walks in. He has a way of motivating everyone around him, whether it’s through his energy or just the way he carries himself every day. What really stands out with Phoenix is everything he’s been through with surgeries he’s handled it with real toughness and perseverance, and it shows in how he approaches everything. He’s a great presence to have around, always bringing positive energy, and he’s been nothing but awesome for Arcadia.

I served as the Head Coach of the Arcadia High School football team during Phoenix’s tenure. He served as team manager and or “director of morale “. Phoenix’s presence at every game was a big inspiration as we enjoyed a program that qualified for playoff each year. Phoenix was a leader within our school culture. His presence and perseverance in overcoming personal challenges and displaying hard work inspire students and teachers.

What stands out most about Phoenix is his character and resilience.  Despite living with cerebral palsy, he consistently demonstrates a level of work ethic, discipline, and determination that is truly rare.  He is not only hardworking, but also highly intelligent and deeply motivated.  Even though he's younger than me, there are many areas of life where I genuinely look up to him.  Phoenix is a God-fearing, honest and dependable man who approaches everything with purpose and integrity.  He brings energy, positivity and a mindset that elevates the people around him.

Phoenix is a young man that is a role model for the young people in our society. He does not let his limitations define him and is a friend to many of the students and athletes on our campus. He follows through on all his commitments and recently organized a community service outing for the Arcadia football program. Phoenix will rise to any occasion and persevere through any challenge. He is a very mature, quality person that will be an outstanding leader in any setting.

Phoenix has a deep understanding of sports and a genuine enthusiasm for athletics. He consistently shows an ability to interpret data in meaningful ways, identifying trends and insights that can support coaching decisions, player evaluations, and game strategies. His analytical mindset, combined with his knowledge of sports dynamics, allows him to bridge the gap between numbers and performance.

Phoenix is also highly dependable and organized. He meets deadlines, communicates effectively, and works well both independently and as part of a team. His professionalism and dedication make him a trustworthy individual in high-pressure environments such as live game settings.

During the time I worked with Phoenix, I came to know him as a highly motivated, disciplined, and dependable individual with great energy that enhanced any sports program he was a part of. He had a hand in taking and reporting statistics, motivational talks, promoting players and the program in general.  What impressed me most was his ability to connect with others. Players and coaches love Phoenix and he is a very motivating individual with his positive attitude and great energy for sports and life in general. Players gravitate to Phoenix and I have heard some players talk about how inspiring he is for them. He is a huge sports fan and very knowledgeable of sports in general, but football and basketball especially.

Additionally, Phoenix a genuine commitment to growth and learning. He was receptive to feedback and consistently applied it, which speaks to his coachability which is an invaluable trait for any sports team and program.

Phoenix is an example of inspirational ability. He led the team on the field many times and provided words of wisdom and encouragement when the team was down in games. His efforts worked as the Titans made the playoffs three consecutive years and were Desert Sky champions in 2023 making it all the way to the Arizona State 4A semifinals. He rallied the players to not only perform better on the field but also in the classroom and in life.

Phoenix Jose has made a real impact at Arcadia High School through the way he supports the people around him and stays involved in the community. He spent some time doing stats for our football program, always showing up for the team and helping keep everything organized on the sidelines. Outside of football, he has also helped organize community service events and looks for ways to give back and help others whenever he can. Personally, Phoenix has made an impact on me because he leads by example with his work ethic and the way he treats people. He genuinely cares about his school and community, and Arcadia is a better place because of the effort and energy he puts into it.

Phoenix is one of the best kids and has the most character out of anyone I know. For a kid being put in his position, he not only benefited our football team with his insanely awesome presence and energy, but made our team better by encouraging us and fueling us with his motivation. Phoenix has been a good friend to me, always reaching out to hang out when we can and always has the biggest smile on his face and happy to learn attitude. I’m very lucky to know this kid, for someone in his situation he makes the world a greatly better place.

Phoenix Jose has been and still is a huge reason for my successes. Phoenix’s impact goes beyond the football field. He is a great worker, friend, and mentor and you can tell by his great smile that he lights up any room he steps in. An overall great friend but an even better person never leaving anyone out and including everyone. I have the upmost respect for him because his mindset is like no other.

Phoenix Jose’s enthusiasm and determination to his sports teams is amazing. This man will be at every game in full spirit supporting his team. Win or lose he is there by his team’s side through thick and thin. He is the best man to have on your sidelines supporting you and the team.

Phoenix played a huge role in the culture of our Football team and also through FCA, a Christian Athlete Club that he helped me start. The club we started had a tremendous impact on the students at our school, with us getting 40 kids to show up consistently, once a week to listen to different sermons. Every time it was Phoenix’s turn to speak, you could see the room sit up in their seat and truly listen to what he had to say. The same for his role on our football team. Every time Phoenix spoke, people listened, and his words left an impact. Whether it was a pre- game speech before we hit the field, or a sermon given to students about trusting God’s plan,  Phoenix makes an impact.

Phoenix is an individual who stands out not only for his dedication, but for the positive impact he has on those around him and his school community.  During his time at Arcadia High, Phoenix took on the important role of stat keeper for the football team.  In that position, he demonstrated reliability, focus and a genuine commitment to the success of the team.  He was always prepared, detail oriented, and took pride in contributing behind the scenes, understanding that every role matters when it comes to building something bigger than yourself.  Beyond his responsibilities, Phoenix showed exceptional initiative by organizing and supporting charity events for the football team.  His involvement helped bring people together and created meaningful support to the team and the community.  What truly sets Phoenix apart is his character.  He is dependable, hardworking and consistently puts others before himself.  He approaches challenges with determination and maintains a positive attitude that motivates those around him.  Phoenix is the kind of person who leads through action and earns respect through his reliability and integrity.

Phoenix is the most positive human being that I have ever met.  Whatever the situation is, Phoenix looks on the bright side and lightens the mood.  I remember looking at him during a basketball game and he had the brightest smile on his face.  This positive attitude can improve any work or school place and everyone in it.  Phoenix also approaches his work with intent to grow .  When he takes stats, he is insanely specific and knows the game better than anyone I have ever met.  He is also an extremely motivational human being and when he talks he is extremely respectful.  He would be an asset to any program.

I have had the privilege of knowing Phoenix for the last 3 years.  I was his economics teacher and observed him as he navigated the school and sports arena at Arcadia.  During my tenure at Arcadia, I worked collecting tickets, working the scoreboard and clocks at different events.  Phoenix would be working at the same time collecting statistics for both the football and basketball teams.  We would talk in class about different careers and opportunities to work in sports.  Phoenix, on his own, carved his niche at Arcadia.  He started his sophomore year doing statistics for the football team and became a mainstay and "teammate."  He is dedicated and always helping others.  It is amazing how much hardship Phoenix has faced in life, with surgeries, pain and just difficulty moving, but he wants to give back to others.  He is always a friend to others and is a service to his school.  Phoenix would be an asset to the ASU player development program.  He is hard working, follows direction and is a loyal Sun Devil, through and through.  Phoenix will be a success in all he does and will be a positive influence on any sports program.
